Your text stays on your device

Every tool on Text Tools — the word counter, character counter, case converter, duplicate remover, slug generator, keyword density checker and find & replace — works entirely inside your web browser. Any text you type or paste is processed on your own device only. It is never uploaded to a server, never stored, and never shared with anyone. When you close the page, nothing of your text remains with us, because it never reached us in the first place.

The one thing your browser remembers: your theme

Text Tools offers a light and a dark theme. When you switch themes with the sun and moon button at the top of any page, your choice is saved in your own browser's local storage so the site opens the way you prefer. That theme choice is the only information this site stores: it never leaves your device, it is never sent to us, and it contains nothing about you or your text. You can erase it at any time by clearing your browser's site data. Your text itself is never stored — not in local storage, not in cookies, not anywhere.

Accounts and personal details

This site has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no checkout. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details in order to use the tools.

Standard technical information

Like almost every website, our hosting provider may keep brief technical logs (such as the pages requested, browser type and approximate time of visit) for security and reliability. These logs do not contain the text you enter into the tools.

Analytics and advertising

If we later enable privacy-respecting analytics or advertising to keep the site free, this page will be updated to describe exactly what is used. Any analytics would measure page visits only — never the content of your text, which cannot leave your browser in any case.
