Using the tools

Text Tools provides free online utilities for working with text. You may use them for personal, educational and commercial work, as often as you like, without an account. By using this site you accept these terms.

Provided “as is”

The tools are provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep the counting and conversion logic accurate, but results may differ slightly from other tools because of legitimate differences in how words, sentences and characters are defined. Always check important results — for example an assignment word count or a campaign character limit — against the requirements of the institution or platform involved before relying on them.

Platform limits

Character limits shown on this site (for X, Instagram, LinkedIn, meta descriptions and similar) are typical platform limits provided for guidance. Platforms change their limits and may apply different limits to different accounts. The platform's own rules prevail in every case.

Your content

You keep all rights to any text you process with these tools. Because processing happens in your own browser, we never receive, store or claim any interest in your text.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, overload it, or use it for anything unlawful. If you process lists (for example email addresses) with the duplicate remover, it is your responsibility to have a lawful basis for holding and using that data.

Changes

We may add, change or remove tools, and update these terms, at any time. The version published on this page is the current version.
